Location: Well-known, busy holiday resort with 30'000 inhabitants, directly by the lake, in a convenient position, 100 km from Olsztyn, 250 km from Warszawa, 245 km from Gdańsk. All shops, restaurants etc. in the resort. For arrivals by plane: airport Warszawa (WAW), Gdańsk (GDN). Both lakes are connected by the Luczynski Canal. Privileged location of this town invites for practicing water sports, hiding and biking. Gizycko offers numerous water sports equipment hire businesses, indoor swimming-pool of highest standard, sauna and fitness room. Tourist attractions are: an old, historical, wooden swing bridge over the Luczynski Canal and 19th century Prussian stronghold - the Boyen fortress which houses, among others, the Museum of Flora and Fauna. It's also worth to visit the XIV century Teutonic Castle.

Location in summer: In summer time there are many events held in the town: festival of sailors' song ""Szanty"", festival of tourists' song ""Ukleja"", concerts, organ music concerts in the old, evangelic church and regatta. Trips to other resorts like: Wegorzewo, Mikolajki, Kadzidlowo (wild animals reserve), Gierloz (""Wilczy Szaniec""- former Hitler's Headquaters).
